Martin County Cancer Patient Services Meeting
November 4, 2025
The Martin County Cancer Patient Services met at Loogootee Library in Loogootee, Indiana at 5:30 PM.
Rheadawn Street opened with a prayer and welcomed the guests.
In attendance were Rheadawn Street, Robin Hart, Karen Jones, Linda Knight, Shannon Wagoner, Kevin Guy, Debra Guy, and Darla Wagler.
The Secretary report was presented by Shannon Wagoner via email. It was reviewed by all board members. Robin Hart made the motion to accept and Rheadawn Street seconded the motion. The motion carried 5-0. Linda Knight presented the treasure report. Karen Jones made the motion to approve and Shannon Wagoner seconded the motion. It was approved 5-0..
Grant Update and Donations:
MCPPS was denied the Smithville Grant
Patient Update and Community Outreach:
Active Patients: 30
Inactive Patients: 18
New patients: 1
Deaths: 0
Birthday Blessings: Merrill Bateman, Larry Downs, John Andis, Patricia Canady, and Debbie Smith have upcoming birthdays.
Youth Ambassador: Kenley Shaw and Shannon Wagoner met with Mira and her mom Sandi to deliver her birthday gift. They were so appreciative.
Volunteers: Trees and decor will be delivered to the Hindostan Ladies to decorate for the patients this Christmas season.
Fundraising: Online Auction will be the next fundraising event. The dates have been changed. The auction will be held from April 16-23, items will be sorted on April 24, The pick up will be held on Loogootee Methodist Church on April 25 from 10AM-12PM,
Upcoming Events:
Thanksgiving Basket Assembly - November 19 at 1:30PM at St John,s lower level i n Loogootee, IN.
Vendor Fair in Loogootee on December 6 from 9-4PM. Rheadawn Street will set up a table and have a quilt to raffle. The quilt was donated by Lana Allen.
Christmas Basket Assembly - December 17 at 10:30AM at St Mary’s Hall in Shoals, IN.
Old Business: Linda Knight ordered reusable bags for the Thanksgiving Baskets. Food items will be purchased by board members.
New Business:
President Street transferred $10,000 into a CD for an investment at Crane Credit Union.
Linda Knight made a motion to adjourn and Rheadawn Street seconded it. All in favor voted 5-0. The meeting was adjourned at 6:09 PM. The next meeting will be held at St Mary’s Hall in Shoals, Indiana on December 2, 2025 at 5:30 PM.
