Martin County Cancer Patient Services Meeting
February 3, 2026
The Martin County Cancer Patient Services met at St Mary’s Hall in Shoals, Indiana at 5:30 PM. Rheadawn Street opened with a prayer and welcomed the guests. In attendance were Rheadawn Street, Robin Hart, Shannon Wagoner, Linda Knight, Rex Knight, Paul Wade, Kevin Guy, and Debra Guy..
The Secretary report was presented by Shannon Wagoner via email. It was reviewed by all board members. Robin Hart made the motion to accept Rheadawn Street and seconded the motion. The report will be posted on the website. The motion carried 4-0. Linda Knight presented the treasure report. Shannon Wagoner made the motion to approve and Robin Hart seconded the motion. It was approved 4-0.
Grant Update and Donations:
Rex Knight submitted an application for a $2,000 grant from Martin County Community Foundation for nutrition and medical supplies. Next month he will apply for the REMC grant: if obtained, it will be used for patient transportation/gas cards. Mr. Knight plans to check on the Duke Energy grant opportunity.

Online Auction Update: The board members are receiving donations. Shannon Wagoner will be compiling the photos: each photo will be marked with a number. Word document will be compiled with Item #, Item, Donor/value and shared with the members.

Thanksgiving Baskets - $768.34 total cost
Christmas Baskets - $578.88 total cost
New Business:
Discussion was held regarding new shirts. Rheadawn Street will contact Michael McNabb regarding a new design and color.
2026 Budget will be distributed at the next meeting.
Shannon Wagoner made a motion to adjourn and Linda Knight seconded it. All in favor voted 4-0. The meeting was adjourned at 6:01 PM. The next meeting will be held at Loogootee Library in Loogootee, Indiana on March 3, 2026 at 5:30 PM.
