Martin County Cancer Patient Services Meeting
April 7, 2026
The Martin County Cancer Patient Services met at St Mary’s Hall in Shoals, Indiana at 5:30 PM.
Rheadawn Street opened with a prayer and welcomed the guests.
In attendance were Rheadawn Street, Robin Hart, Shannon Wagoner, Linda Knight, Karen Jones, Paul Wade, Kevin Guy, and Debra Guy..
The Secretary report was presented by Shannon Wagoner via email. It was reviewed by all board members. Robin Hart made the motion to accept Karen Jones and seconded the motion. The report will be posted on the website. The motion carried 5-0. Linda Knight presented the treasure report. Shannon Wagoner made the motion to approve and Rheadawn Street seconded the motion. It was approved 5-0.
Discussion was held regarding the need for a building to store MCCPS supplies. The current space at the recycling center will no longer be available for use. Rheadawn suggested renting a storage building from Creekside Storage in Shoals, IN. Karen Jones made a motion and Robin Hart seconded the motion. 5-0 in favor; motion passed. Rheadawn will contact the owner to set up the rental.
Grant Update and Donations:
Rex Knight is planning to submit the application for the REMC grant in May

Online Auction items will be sorted and organized on April 24 at 12 noon. Those wanting to help will meet at the Loogootee Methodist Church. Auction item pick up will be April 25 from 10AM-12PM at the Loogootee Methodist Church.
The yearly raffle was discussed with suggestions given; such as an overnight stay for 2, Spa gift certificates, etc. No decision was made.

The new t-shirts were presented to the members. The cost of each shirt was approximately $10.28. Discussion was held and all were in agreement to retain the sale price of $20 per shirt.
Shannon Wagoner made a motion to adjourn and Robin Hart seconded it. All in favor voted 5-0. The meeting was adjourned at 6:15 PM. The next meeting will be held at Loogotee Library in Loogootee, Indiana on May 5, 2026 at 5:30 PM.
